BoxChamp (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the BoxChamp mobile application (the “App”).
a) Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
• Email address
• Username
• Encrypted authentication credentials managed by Firebase Authentication
b) App Data You Create
When you use BoxChamp, we may store:
• Scorecards and predictions
• League participation data (including invite codes and member IDs)
• Comments and emoji reactions on scorecards
• Notification preferences and notification history
C) Device/Usage Data
We may receive limited technical information needed to operate the App, such as:
• Device/platform metadata made available by Apple/iOS
• Push notification token (if notifications are enabled)
d) News Content
The App may fetch third-party boxing news feeds and display article links and content summaries.
We use information to:
• Create and manage your account
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure
• Provide core app features (scorecards, leagues, comments, rankings, notifications)
• Sync your data across sessions/devices
• Send relevant in-app notifications (e.g., comments, reactions, news alerts, fight reminders)
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve app performance
BoxChamp uses third-party services to provide functionality, including:
• Firebase Authentication (account sign-in, password reset)
• Cloud Firestore (data storage and sync)
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs) (notifications)
• RapidAPI / Boxing Data API (boxing event, fighter, and fight data)
• External RSS/news sources (boxing news feed content)
These providers may process data as needed to perform their services under their own privacy terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
We only share data:
• With service providers required to run the App (listed above)
• When you intentionally share content within app features (e.g., league interactions)
• If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights or safety
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required by law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including secure transport (HTTPS/TLS), authentication controls, and platform security features (such as Apple Keychain where applicable). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Depending on your region, you may have rights to:
• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
You may also:
• Disable push notifications in your iOS device settings
• Request account deletion by contacting us (see Contact section below)
BoxChamp is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your information may be processed and stored in countries outside your own, including where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect data in accordance with applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App and/or on this website with a revised “Last updated” date.
